The Ivy String Quartet is an all female professional ensemble comprised of four conservatoire trained musicians, each of us with our own freelance performing careers involving solo, chamber music and orchestral work. Between us we have worked with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, English National Ballet, Academy of Ancient Music, Les Miserables, London Concertante, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and The Eighteenth Century Concert Orchestra among other professional groups. As a quartet we are very experienced in providing music for all sorts of occasions such as weddings and parties and are able to accommodate special requests to suit the client’s taste. Our repertoire encompasses all styles from Baroque to Pop, and we have recently been booked for recording sessions for albums with ‘Squire of Somerton’ and Katie Carr. We also share an interest in the historical performance of early music and are experienced in performing on period instruments.
